Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?

GRYYD subscriptions are fully flexible—upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime without penalties or cancellation fees. Plan changes use prorated billing to ensure you only pay for what you use. This FAQ explains upgrade/downgrade mechanics and cancellation procedures.

Plan Upgrades (Immediate)

How Upgrades Work:

• Instant Activation - New plan features and credits available immediately
• Prorated Billing - Pay only for remaining days in current billing cycle
• Credit Addition - New plan credits added instantly
• Billing Date Unchanged - Monthly billing date remains the same

Prorated Billing Example: \`\`\` Current Plan: Free New Plan: Pro ($15/mo) Upgrade Date: January 15 (15 days remaining)

Calculation:

• Pro daily rate: $15 ÷ 30 days = $0.50/day
• Immediate charge: $0.50 × 15 days = $7.50 (Jan 15-31)
• Next full charge: $15 on February 1
• Credits added: 200 (Pro plan monthly allocation) \`\`\`

What Happens After Upgrade:

• ✅ New credits added immediately (200 for Pro, 500 for Max)
• ✅ Upscaled download unlocked (Pro/Max)
• ✅ AI chat editing enabled (Pro/Max)

Plan Downgrades (Next Billing Cycle)

How Downgrades Work:

• Delayed Activation - Takes effect at start of next billing cycle
• Current Plan Retained - Keep current features until billing period ends
• No Refund - No prorated refund for current cycle
• Credit Adjustment - Next month credits based on new plan

• Jan 15: Submit downgrade request

Plan Cancellation

How Cancellation Works:

• Access Retained - Continue using paid plan until end of billing period
• No Refunds - Current month payment non-refundable
• Auto-Renewal Stops - No charge on next billing date
• Free Plan Reversion - Account downgrades to Free plan (30 credits/month)
• Data Retention - All projects, drafts, and images retained

After Cancellation:

• ✅ Access continues until end of paid period
• ✅ Unused credits remain until period ends
• ❌ Auto-billing stops
• Reactivation: Restart subscription anytime with fresh credit allocation

Plan Change Tips

Before Upgrading:

• Review credit usage to choose appropriate plan
• Upgrade mid-cycle to benefit from prorated billing
• All project data carries over automatically

Before Downgrading:

• Consider downgrading at end of billing cycle
• Use remaining credits before downgrade takes effect
• All project data is retained during downgrade

Before Cancelling:

• Use remaining credits before period ends
• Download any images you need
• All project data remains accessible on Free plan
