What should I do if image generation is not working?

Overview

Generation failures are usually caused by missing prerequisites, unsupported file formats, or insufficient credits. This FAQ helps you diagnose and resolve common issues.

Prerequisites Checklist

Verify all requirements before generation:

✅ Product Photo - At least 1 uploaded (max 10 per draft) ✅ Angle Labels - Each photo needs a label (Front, Back, Side, Top, Bottom, Angle, Detail, Context) ✅ Image Description - Prompt cannot be empty (min 10 characters, recommend 30-60 words) ✅ Sufficient Credits - Check balance in header (1 variation ≈ 5 credits, 4 ≈ 20, 10 ≈ 50)

The "Generate Images" button stays disabled until all prerequisites are met.

Common Issue #1: Generate Button Disabled

Check 1: Missing Product Photos

• Upload JPG/PNG/WebP files via "Upload Product Photos" button
• Wait for green checkmark on thumbnails

Check 2: Unlabeled Angles

• Click each thumbnail → Select angle from dropdown
• All photos must have labels before proceeding

Check 3: Empty Prompt

• Enter description in text field (minimum 10 characters)
• Field border turns green when valid

Check 4: Insufficient Credits

• Reduce variation count OR upgrade plan/purchase credits

Common Issue #2: Upload Failures

File Format Issues:

• Supported: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP only
• Unsupported: GIF, BMP, TIFF, RAW, PSD, SVG, HEIC
• iPhone users: Settings → Camera → Formats → "Most Compatible" (saves as JPG)

File Size Issues:

• Maximum: 30 MB per image
• Recommended: 2-5 MB for faster uploads
• Solution: Use TinyPNG.com or Compressor.io to compress large files

Corrupt Files:

• Open in photo editor → Re-export as new JPG

Common Issue #3: Button Disabled Despite Meeting Requirements

Browser Cache:

• Hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
• Clear browser cache if issue persists
• Log out and log back in

Network Issues:

• Check internet connection
• Disable VPN temporarily
• Try different network (WiFi vs mobile hotspot)

Common Issue #4: Generation Fails Mid-Process

Server Timeout:

• Reduce variation count (try 3-4 instead of 10)
• Simplify prompt complexity
• Remove reference images temporarily
• Wait 5 minutes and retry

Photo Quality Issues:

• Ensure photos are clear, not blurry or extremely dark
• Product must be visible (not tiny in large background)
• Minimum resolution: 200x200px

Common Issue #5: No Images After Generation

Browser Display:

• Hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
• Try different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
• Check console for errors (F12 → Console tab)

Slow Loading:

• Wait for images to load (may take 30+ seconds on slow connections)
• Disable ad blockers or privacy extensions

Quick Troubleshooting Steps

1. Button disabled? → Check prerequisites (photos, angles, prompt, credits)
2. Upload fails? → Verify format (JPG/PNG/WebP), size (<30MB), file integrity
3. Generation fails? → Reduce variations, simplify prompt, check network
